Andy Rouse
Andy Rouse is a famous wildlife photographer. He travels the world to capture images
of many different, unique animals in their natural habitat. This means he travels from Africa to Alaska just to find a specific animal that he needs to photograph.
Andy Rouse was born in London, England, and his still lives there today. Every year he says he spends between five and six months out in the field taking pictures of wild animals on different continents. In 1995, Andy and his dog, Muppet, partnered with Tracey to start taking wildlife photographs. Since then Andy has received nine different awards for his beautiful photographs. One award was the Cherry Kearton Award from the Royal Geographical Society. He says he does what he does because he loves traveling and he loves being in the wild with the variety of different species he encounters. He often has to travel to difficult locations in order to find what his is looking for. Today Andy is well known around the world because of his photography skills. He also has written seven books about photography to help people become better photographers. He also writes an advice column in the London paper for people to read every month.
I personally love his photographs because they are so diverse and they are truly excellent photos. They are well thought out and they include different animals from all over the world. He uses a huge Cannon camera so he can have clear photos when he takes them from a distance to avoid being attacked. He also uses smaller lenses and gets very close to the animals he is photographing. I also like the way he uses compositional techniques in his photos. The one he uses the most is rule of thirds. The way he uses it is brilliant.
